OAK Edge-glued panels (A/A, A/B, B/B)

OAK – Edge-glued panels A/A Quality

  • staves with matching wood structure (the same grain pattern on the whole side of the panel)
  • staves with matching color (no discoloration allowed)
  • Only small, healthy knots permitted (up to 5 mm in diameter and only 1 knot/m2)
  • No sapwood, cracks, rot, wormholes or other defects (whether caused naturally or due to the bad drying)
  • No technical faults

OAK – Edge-glued panels A/B Quality

A-Side:

  • staves with matching wood structure (the same grain pattern on the whole side of the panel)
  • staves with matching color (no discoloration allowed)
  • Only small, healthy knots permitted (up to 5 mm in diameter and only 1 knot/m2)
  • No sapwood, cracks, rot, wormholes or other defects (whether caused naturally or due to the bad drying)
  • No technical faults

B-Side:

  • staves with matching wood structure (the same grain pattern on the whole side of the panel)
  • Colour may be slightly uneven
  • Only small, healthy knots permitted (up to 5 mm in diameter and only 1 knot/m2)
  • sapwood traces, that are not going through to the opposite side of the panel, are allowed (sapwood allowed on 15-20% of the B-surface of the whole panel) – no sapwood on the panel edges
  • No cracks, rot, wormholes or other defects (whether caused naturally or due to the bad drying)
  • No technical faults

OAK – Edge-glued panels B/B Quality

B-both sides:

  • staves with matching wood structure (the same grain pattern on the whole side of the panel)
  • Colour may be slightly uneven
  • Only small, healthy knots permitted (up to 5 mm in diameter and only 1 knot/m2)
  • sapwood traces, that are not going through to the opposite side of the panel, are allowed (sapwood allowed on 15-20% of the B-surface of the whole panel) – no sapwood on the panel edges
